Sergio Garcia won his first event for 3 years by taking victory in the CASTELLÓ MASTERS. 28 year old Garcia finished with a 4-under par 67 on the course where he played as a boy and his father is still the club Professional.

Immediately after his 3 shot victory Garcia dedicated his win to the still gravely ill Seve Ballesteros. ”I couldn’t help but think about Seve,” Garcia said. ”I’m sending all my love to him and his family and hope he recovers soon. I hope this victory helps him to get a little better.”

This win moves Garcia up to no.3 in the world rankings.
